Belleair Elementary School
The Belleair Elementary School is located at 1156 Lakeview Road, Clearwater, FL 33756. Belleair Rotarian and school advocate Lothar Erdtmann passionately refers to it as “our school” because of his love for it and the long-term relationship that has existed between the school and The Rotary Club of Belleair.
Why Peru? Possibly for two reasons, John’s father was a U.S. military attaché there during 1954 – 1958 and John lived there. But also, it seems apparent that Sandra Lilo, DDS, who leads the ROTOCLEFT mission to Peru each year, has not only inspired John but has also encouraged him to find his own way to contribute to helping this poor country.
Since 1992, Doorways Scholarships have been awarded to hardworking, deserving Pinellas County students in grades three through nine who meet federal poverty guidelines.
The Seminar for Tomorrow’s Leaders or S4TL is sponsored by Rotary Districts 6890, 6950 and 6960. Approximately 200 Rotary sponsored delegates from more than 130 high schools participate in this program.
Rotary’s Camp Florida
Rotary’s Camp Florida is a year-round 21.5 acre camp for children with special needs. Created by 17 Rotary Clubs in Hillsborough County, the Camp located in Brandon enjoys support from eight Florida Rotary Districts. Belleair Rotary is one of those clubs that gives of time, treasure and talent.
